![]() I am truly sorry that you ended up losing your license key and I am sure that Malwarebytes Support did all they could to aid you and I don't know the particulars of your case, but I do hope that you are able to somehow provide to them whatever information is required to get your license validated and linked to your account in the modern system. This is why I always keep any emails, receipts and other information from any lifetime license products I buy, just in case there is an issue in the future in attempting to validate my license. ![]() Unfortunately because of the past issues I mentioned, this also means that it is sadly not always possible to validate ownership without sufficient proof of purchase information. There were also a lot of issues in the past with keygens, rampant piracy, license key theft through malware and other means and so verifying ownership of a lifetime key is very important, however once a key is validated it is grandfathered into the modern licensing system and tied to your account so that you should never have any issues with key validation again. Unfortunately early on the licensing system for Malwarebytes was much more primitive/basic and didn't have the capabilities that more modern licensing solutions provide. I'm sorry that you experienced problems validating your lifetime license. ransomware and malware live protection? I assume it wouldn't protect against the recent wanna cry, petacry etc until it had been identified for some time - but even then where does malwarebytes sit in this day and age a dozen+ years after it used to always be recommended along with avg/avast and spybost: S & D as the "goto" for uninformed computer users (such as myself as a kid) by the tech wiz's of whirlpool etc.Īnd on another note, why are these lifetime licenses $30 vs the $89.99 being charges for 2 year subscription on malwarebytes officially? I tried to read a few comments above but got lost in all the talk about inflated prices being discounted and being more expensive than the last deal.Endpoint Detection & Response for Servers That said is the premium malware bytes any good? e.g. pretty expensive considering avast antivirus (not malware and all but still a safety software imho) on discount is sub $20 a year. saw two years is 89.99 and a years like 59.99. have always had free 'ad hoc' scanning malwarebytes due to prior recommendations when i was a kid. ![]() Evidence of this should only be found at the Malwarebytes site if/when it occurs. I suggest OzBargain no longer allow sale of lifetime Malwarebytes licenses unless Malwarebytes officially change their policy. If you intend to buy this deal, you may as well get a crack and save your money. It's not the software I'm questioning, it's the license key's authenticity. But it also allows a pirated key to work the same way. The software allows genuine customers to reinstall Malwarebytes after a system crash. you don't find it on a dusty shelf out the back). The probability of this deal being genuine is approaching zero rapidly, especially as this is electronic inventory (ie. ![]() "I would be weary of anyone online offering a lifetime license as it more than likely fake or pirated." A quick internet search will tell you that Malwarebytes stopped selling these licenses in 2014.
